AION - Ben Satterlee, Charlie Erdman, Josh Becker and Samuel Christianson
Company: AION brings a faster-to-market consumer product approach to develop body-powered prosthetics at a middle-market cost. AION uses the iterative power of industrial design to create a modular system with high caliber aesthetics for upper extremity terminal devices. AION raised an accelerator round of $100,000 and launched a monthly beta testing program with 6 paid deposits. AION is a Nebraska-based Delaware C-Corp.
Founders: AION Prosthetics' founding team consists of four industrial designers (Ben, Charlie, Josh and Samuel) with expertise ranging from engineering technologists to design strategists. At its core, the AION team is a community of designers, amputees, and prosthetists collectively co-designing prosthetics in search of affordable, advanced, and aesthetically-driven solutions.
Bumper - Luke Moberly
Company: Bumper makes long-term investing more engaging and accessible for Gen Z teenagers. The mobile-first platform provides incentives and engagement strategies to encourage long-term approaches to investing. The platform includes a custodial Roth IRA account with access to total market index funds, cash-back investing awards, and matching options for the custodian, designed to help Bumper users develop healthy investing habits. Bumper raised a $100,000 accelerator round from the gener8tor/NMotion Accelerator Studio.
Founder: Luke Moberly completed training in Machine Learning and Data Science in London, England and has developed deep learning-driven web applications. In 2020, he built a fun and engaging mobile game, named Llama Launch, that demonstrated his ability to engage target audiences. Luke is excited to apply his skills in data science and content engagement to Bumper and the Gen Z demographic.
Share My Change - Quest Moffat
Company: Share My Change turns the traditional spare change donation box sitting at the cash register into an easy-to-use digital fundraiser that generates donations everywhere nonprofit supporters shop. Through Share My Change, nonprofits invite supporters to download the app, connect their bank account, and choose how their purchases will generate “round-up” or “add-on” donations. SMC has 2 paying nonprofit customers conducting 12 pilot fundraisers.
Founder: Quest Moffat was the Technology & Innovation Program Manager at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) where he managed fundraising for innovation challenges. This is where Quest first experienced the difficulty of coordinating nonprofit fundraising. Quest has 18 years in software/product creation, including three FinTech products still in the market. Since 2016, Quest has assisted over 36 startups in securing early-stage idea validation funds of more than $5M.
WellCapped - Shante Frazier
Company: WellCapped’s monthly subscription service offers high quality, lace-front wigs to users via a Rent the Runway business model. WellCapped makes data-driven decisions to select inventory, and to provide a Netflix-esque suggestion list of styles to its users. 73 users have joined the WellCapped waitlist with 18% week-over-week growth and 3 wigs have been rented to date.
Founder: Shante Frazier has spent most of her career as a data analyst and holds her MBA from NYU Stern and BA in Economics from Spelman College. Prior to WellCapped, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a consumer markets consultant and has helped beauty and retail companies such as Soko Glam and Amazon.
